Once, a king ordered the execution of an innocent prisoner. In despair, the prisoner started cursing upon the king.
Seeing the prisoner’s agitation, the king asked what he was saying? The minister replied,
My lord,he is saying that Allah likes those who forgive. Hearing the minister’s words, the king ordered to release of the prisoner.
At this, someone interjected, accusing the prisoner of insulting the king.
The king smiled and said, the lie that spreading goodness like the minister, is better than your mischievous truth”

کسی بادشاہ نے ایک بیگناہ قیدی کے قتل کا حکم صادر کیا
تو وہ مایوسی کے عالم میں بادشاہ کو برا بھلا کہنے لگا۔
بادشاہ نے قیدی کو بڑبڑاتے دیکھا تو پوچھا یہ کیا کہہ رھا ھے ؟
وزیر نے جواب دیا۔
“حضور یہ کہہ رھا ھے کہ معاف فرمانے والوں کو اللہ پاک پسند فرماتا ھے۔”
وزیر کی بات سن کر بادشاہ نے قیدی کی رھائی کا حکم دے دیا۔
اس پر ایک مصاحب بول اٹھا کہ حضور یہ آپکو گالیاں دے رھا ھے۔
بادشاہ مسکرا دیا اور بولا ،
وزیر کا نیکی پھیلانے والا جھوٹ تیرے فتنہ انگیز سچ سے بہتر ھے۔”
