A king wanted a long life, he didn’t want to die, his doctors told him that in a distant land, there are some herbs that have the effect of water of life, if you bring those herbs, we will make a medicine that after eating it will make you live as long as you want.

The king prepared a delegation of ten people and sent this delegation to the chief of that area. The delegation included the king’s doctors and the king’s closest advisers. The delegation conveyed the king’s message to the chieftain there. The chieftain read the message, laughed, called the soldiers, and said to arrest the delegation. After the arrest, the chieftain took them near a high mountain in the kingdom and pitched his tent under the mountain.

He locked these ten people in this tent and after that he issued an order that you cannot go anywhere from this place until this mountain falls. Anyone among you who tries to leave here will have his neck cut off.

The chief left his army there and returned to the city. The delegation began to see their death clearly. They began to consider the mountain as their biggest problem. In this hour of difficulty, they had no helper except Allah Almighty. They prostrated themselves on the ground and started humming before Allah. They used to get up from prostration only to eat, defecate, or perform ablution, and then fall into prostration to ask Allah for help.

Finally, Allah had mercy on them, so one day, an earthquake occurred, the earth from right to left. As it happened, the mountain shook from its roots, and rocks and stones fell to the ground.

These ten people and the soldiers ran away to save their lives. The soldiers of the Sardar took these ten people and appeared in the court. They told the whole story to the Sardar.

The Sardar laughed after hearing the talk and then said to these ten envoys; You people go to your king, tell him this incident and then give him my message, say to him: Just as the curse of ten people can destroy a mountain, so the curse of ten million people can destroy the king’s life and Power can destroy both. If you want a long life and long power, avoid people’s evil prayers, you will not need any medicine, any herb.

ایک بادشاہ لمبی عمر کا خواہاں تھا، وہ مرنا نہیں چاہتا تھا، اس کے طبیبوں نے بتایا کہ دوردراز کسی سرزمین پر چند ایسی جڑی بوٹیاں پیدا ہوتی ہیں جن میں آب حیات کی تاثیر ہے، آپ اگر وہ جڑی بوٹیاں منگوا لیں تو ہم آپ کو ایک ایسی دواء بنا دیں گے جس کے کھانے کے بعد آپ جب تک چاہیں گے زندہ رہیں گے۔
بادشاہ نے دس لوگوں کا ایک وفد تیار کیا اور یہ وفد اس علاقے کے سردار کے پاس بھجوا دیا۔ اس وفد میں بادشاہ کے طبیب بھی شامل تھے اور بادشاہ کے انتہائی قریبی مشیر بھی۔

وفد نے وہاں کے سردار کو بادشاہ کا پیغام پہنچا دیا۔سردار نے پیغام پڑھا، قہقہہ لگایا، سپاہی بلوائے اور کہا وفد کو گرفتار کرلو۔
سردار گرفتاری کے بعد انھیں سلطنت کے ایک بلند و بالا پہاڑ کے قریب لے گیا، اس نے پہاڑ کے نیچے خیمہ لگوایا، ان دس لوگوں کو اس خیمے میں بند کروایا اور اس کے بعد حکم جاری کیا کہ جب تک یہ پہاڑ نہیں گرتا تم لوگ اس جگہ سے کہیں نہیں جا سکتے۔ تم میں سے جس شخص نے یہاں سے نکلنے کی کوشش کی اس کی گردن کاٹ دی جائے گی۔

سردار نے اپنا فوجی دستہ وہاں چھوڑا اور واپس شہر آ گیا۔
وفد کو اپنی موت صاف نظر آنے لگی، وہ پہاڑ کو اپنی مصیبت سمجھنے لگے، مشکل کی اس گھڑی میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں تھا۔ وہ زمین پر سجدہ ریز ہوئے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے حضور گڑگڑانے لگے۔ وہ صرف کھانا کھانے، رفع حاجت یا پھر وضو کرنے کے لیے سجدے سے اٹھتے تھے اور پھر اللہ سے مدد مانگنے کے لیے سجدے میں گر جاتے تھے۔

آخرکار اللہ تعالیٰ کو ان پر رحم آ گیا چنانچہ ایک دن زلزلہ آیا، زمین دائیں سے بائیں ہوئی، پہاڑ جڑوں سے ہلا اور چٹانیں اور پتھر زمین پر گرنے لگے۔ ان دس لوگوں اور سپاہیوں نے بھاگ کر جان بچائی۔ سردار کے سپاہی ان دس لوگوں کو لے کر دربار میں حاضر ہو گئے، انھوں نے سردار کو سارا ماجرا سنایا۔

سردار نے بات سن کر قہقہہ لگایا اور اس کے بعد ان دس ایلچیوں سے کہا؛ آپ لوگ اپنے بادشاہ کے پاس جاؤ، اسے یہ واقعہ سناؤ اور اس کے بعد اسے میرا پیغام دو، اسے کہو: دس لوگوں کی بددعا جس طرح پہاڑ کو ریزہ ریزہ کر سکتی ہے بالکل اسی طرح دس بیس لاکھ عوام کی بددعائیں بادشاہ کی زندگی اور اقتدار دونوں کو خاک میں ملا سکتی ہیں۔ تم اگر لمبی زندگی اور طویل اقتدار چاہتے ہو تو لوگوں کی بد دعاؤں سے بچو، تمہیں کسی دوا، کسی بوٹی کی ضرورت نہیں رہے گی۔
