All around the world, there are thousands of ancient buildings, but there’s one in particular that sends shivers down people’s spines just by its mention. This building is located in a mountainous region of **Romania**, and it’s known as the **most terrifying structure in the world**. Its name is **”Casa de los Espiritus”**, which translates to **”The House of Spirits.”**
Although there are no official records about this building, the locals have passed down stories about it for centuries. It is believed to have been constructed around the year **1600** by a deranged architect named **Victor Citru**. Legend says that during construction, Victor embedded several children into the walls of the building to please the **evil spirits** who would then guard the structure.
Initially, the building served as a **church**, but soon after, strange and terrifying events began to unfold. At night, the screams of priests could be heard, blood would seep from the pillars, and those who entered would return **insane**. One priest who lived in the church for years wrote in his final note:
> “This building was not made for the worship of God, but to house the presence of the Devil.”
After that, the building was sealed shut.
But even after being abandoned, the house did not go silent. Many times, government officials tried to demolish it, but each time, the workers either fell mysteriously ill or disappeared. کئی سال تک یہ عمارت خالی پڑی رہی، مگر سن 1930ء میں ایک امیر جرمن تاجر “ہیرمین کروس” نے اسے خریدا اور یہاں رہائش اختیار کی۔ اس کے بعد جو کچھ ہوا، وہ تاریخ میں “کاسا ڈی لاس ایسپریتو کی رات” کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے۔ ایک سرد رات کو ہیرمین کی چیخیں سنائی دیں، مگر جب صبح ملازم اندر گئے تو وہاں کوئی نہ تھا۔ صرف دیوار پر خون سے لکھا ہوا ایک پیغام تھا: “وہ واپس آ گیا ہے!” اس واقعے کے بعد مقامی لوگوں نے اس عمارت کے گرد ایک حفاظتی دیوار کھڑی کر دی اور کسی کو بھی اندر جانے کی اجازت نہ دی۔
