There lived an old farmer in a village. He had a beautiful horse that he used to work in the fields. One day his horse ran away. The villagers came and said:

“How unfortunate you are!”

The old farmer smiled and said:

“Do you know whether this is unfortunate or fortunate?”

A few days later, the same horse returned, and brought three wild horses with it.

The villagers were surprised and said:

“How fortunate you are!”

The old farmer smiled again:

“Do you know whether this is fortunate or unfortunate?”

The next day, the farmer’s son was trying to tame one of the wild horses when he fell and broke his leg.

The villagers came again:

“How unfortunate!”

The farmer again replied:

“Do you know?”

A few weeks later, the king declared war and all the young men of the village were taken into the army. But the farmer’s son was injured, so he survived.

Now the villagers said:

“Really! You have been very lucky!”

The old farmer just smiled.

🌟 Lesson:

Whatever happens in life may seem good or bad at first, but with time it turns out that every event is part of a greater wisdom. Never give up patience, gratitude and hope.
