Once upon a time, a king went out to take care of his people.
In his way, he saw a ninety-year old woman planting olive trees
The king said that you will die in five to ten years, and these trees will bear fruit after twenty years, so what is the point of doing so much work?
The old woman replied that the fruits we ate were planted by our elders and now we are planting them so that our children can eat!
The king liked the words of this old woman and ordered that four hundred dinars should be given to her
When the old woman was given the dinars, she began to smile
The king asked, “Why are you smiling?”
The old woman said that the olive trees were supposed to bear fruit after twenty years, while I have just received my fruit!
The king also liked this and issued an order to give him another four hundred dinars
When this woman was given another four hundred dinars, she started smiling again!
The king asked, “Why are you smiling now?”
The old woman said that an olive tree bears fruit only once in a whole year whereas my tree has borne fruit twice.
The king then ordered that another four hundred dinars should be given to her. And move forward
The minister said, “Why did you come out so quickly?”
The king said
If I stayed with this woman any longer, all my wealth would be empty, but the wise words of the woman would not end
A good word captivates the heart. A gentle attitude turns an enemy into a friend. A wise word brings even kings closer
A good word increases friends in this world and decreases enemies and increases rewards in the hereafter
You can buy things with money and wealth, but the purchase of the heart can only be done with good words, so be a buyer of the heart and don’t not be a seeker of wealth.
ایک دفعہ کا ذکر ہے کہ ایک بادشاہ اپنی رعایا کی دیکھ بھال کرنے نکلا
اس نے دیکھا ایک نوے سال کی بوڑھی عورت زیتون کے پودے لگا رہی ہے
بادشاہ نے کہا تم پانچ دس سال میں مر جاؤ گی اور یہ درخت بیس سال بعد پھل دیں گے تو اتنی مشقت کرنے کا کیا فائدہ؟
بوڑھی عورت نے جواباً کہا جو ھم نے پھل کھائے وہ ہمارے بڑوں نے لگائے تھے اور اب ھم لگا رہے ہیں تاکہ ہماری اولاد کھائے!
بادشاہ کو اس بوڑھی عورت کی بات پسند آئی حکم دیا اس کو چار سو دینار دے دیئے جائیں
جب بوڑھی عورت کو دینار دیئے گئے وہ مسکرانے لگی
بادشاہ نے پوچھا کیوں مسکرا رہی ہو؟
بوڑھی عورت نے کہا کہ زیتون کے درختوں نے بیس سال بعد پھل دینا تھا جبکہ مجھے میرا پھل ابھی مل گیا ہے!
بادشاہ کو اس کی یہ بات بھی اچھی لگی اور حکم جاری کیا اس کو مزید چار سو دینار دیئے جائیں
جب اس عورت کو مزید چار سو دینار دیئے گئے تو وہ پھر مسکرانے لگی!
بادشاہ نے پوچھا اب کیوں مسکرائی؟
بوڑھی عورت نے کہا زیتون کا درخت پورے سال میں صرف ایک بار پھل دیتا ہے جبکہ میرے درخت نے دو بار پھل دے دیئے ہیں۔
بادشاہ نے پھر حکم دیا اس کو مزید چار سو دینار دیئے جائیں یہ حکم دیتے ہی بادشاہ تیزی سے وہاں سے روانہ ہوگیا
وزیر نے کہا حضور آپ جلدی سے کیوں نکل آئے؟
بادشاہ نے کہا
اگر میں مزید اس عورت کے پاس رہتا تو میرا سارا خزانہ خالی ہوجاتا مگر عورت کی حکمت بھری باتیں ختم نہ ہوتیں۔
اچھی بات دل موہ لیتی ہے نرم رویہ دشمن کو دوست بنا دیتا ہے حکمت بھرا جملہ بادشاہوں کو بھی قریب لے آتا ہے
اچھی بات دنیا میں دوست بڑھاتی اور دشمن کم کرتی ہے اور آخرت میں ثواب کی کثرت کرتی ہے
آپ مال و دولت سے سامان خرید سکتے ہیں مگر دل کی خریداری صرف اچھی بات سے ہو سکتی ہے لہذا دل کے خریدار بنیں مال کے طلب گار نہ بنیں.
