ایک زمانہ تھا جب بندوق ایجاد نہیں ہوئی تھی اور لوگ تیر کمان سے شکار کھیلتے تھے۔
ایک دن کچھ شکاری شکار کی تلاش میں جنگل میں پھر رہے تھے کہ اچانک ان کی نظر ایک ہرن پر پڑی۔وہ سب اس کے پیچھے ہو لیے۔ شکاری ہرن کو چاروں طرف سے گھیر رہے تھے اور ہرن اپنی جان بچانے کے لئے تیزی سے بھاگ رہا تھا۔
جب وہ بھاگتے بھاگتے تھک گیا تو ایک گھنی انگور کی بیل کے اندر جا چھپا۔
شکاریوں نے اسے بہت تلاش کیا،لیکن اس کا کچھ پتا نہیں چلا۔آخر مایوس ہو کر وہ وہاں سے لوٹنے لگے۔
جب کچھ وقت گزر گیا تو ہرن ن سوچا کہ اب خطرہ ٹل گیا ہے اور وہ بے فکر ہو کر مزے سے اسی انگور کی بیل کے پتے کھانے لگا،جس میں وہ چھپا ہوا تھا۔
ایک شکاری جو سب سے پیچھے تھا،جب وہاں سے گزرا تو انگور کی بیل اور اس کے گچھوں کو ہلتے دیکھ کر سمجھا کہ یہاں ضرور کوئی جانور چھپا ہے۔
اس نے تاک کے کئی تیر مارے۔ایک تیر ہرن کو جا لگا اور وہ وہیں ڈھیر ہو گیا۔مرتے ہوئے ہرن نے اپنے دل میں کہا،”اے بدبخت!تیری نا شکری کی یہی سزا ہے۔مصیبت کے وقت جس نے تجھے پناہ دی،تو نے اسی پر ظلم ڈھایا۔”
This story dates back to a time when guns had not yet been invented, and people hunted with bows and arrows. One day, some hunters were wandering in the forest in search of prey when they suddenly spotted a deer. They all began to chase it. The hunters were surrounding the deer from all sides, and the deer was running swiftly to save its life.
When the deer became exhausted from running, it hid inside a dense grapevine. The hunters searched for it extensively, but they couldn’t find any trace of it. Finally, disappointed, they started to leave.
After some time had passed, the deer thought that the danger had passed, and it began to eat the leaves of the same grapevine in which it had hidden, without any worries. One hunter, who was lagging behind the others, saw the grapevine and its clusters shaking and realized that some animals must be hiding there.
He aimed several arrows at the spot. By chance, one of the arrows hit the deer, and it fell to the ground. As the deer lay dying, it thought to itself, “O wretched one! This is the punishment for your ingratitude. In your time of trouble, you harmed the very place that sheltered you.”
