ابک بادشاہ نے اپنے کسی رشتہ دار کی سفارش پر ایک شخص کو موسمیات کا وزیر لگا دیا۔
ایک روز بادشاہ نے شکار پر جانے سے قبل اپنے وزیر موسمیات سے موسم کا حال پوچھا ۔وزیر نے کہا کہ موسم بہت اچھا ہے اوربارش وغیرہ کا قطعاً کوئی امکان نہیں۔
بادشاہ اپنے لاؤ لشکر کے ساتھ شکار پر روانہ ہو گیا۔ راستے میں بادشاہ کو ایک کمہار ملا۔ اس نے کہا حضور آپ اس موسم میں کدھر ؟ موسم کچھ ہی دیر بعد خراب ہونے اور بارش کے امکانات بہت زیادہ ہیں۔ بادشاہ نے کہا‘ ابے او برتن بنا کر گدھے پر لادنے والے ‘ تم کیا جانو موسم کیا ہے ؟ میرے وزیر کے مطابق موسم نہایت خوشگوار ہے ۔ بادشاہ نے ایک مصاحب کو کہ کر کمہار کو دو جوتے نقد لگوائے اور شکار کے لیے جنگل میں داخل ہو گیا۔
ابھی تھوڑی ہی دیر گزری تھی کہ گھٹا ٹوپ بادل چھا گئے ، گرج چمک شروع ہوئی اورپھر بارش۔ ایسے میں خاک شکار ہوتا۔ بادشاہ نے واپسی کا سفر شروع کیا اور محل پہنچتے ہی وزیر موسمیات کو برطرف کیا۔ کمہار کو دربار میں طلب کر کے انعامات سے نوازا اور وزیر بننے کی پیشکش کی۔ کمہار ہاتھ جوڑ کر کہنے لگا‘ حضور! کہاں میں جاہل اور ان پڑھ شخص اور کہاں سلطنت کی وزارت۔ مجھے تو موسم کا رتی برابر پتہ نہیں۔ ہاں البتہ یہ ہے کہ جب میرا گدھا اپنے کان ڈھیلے کر کے نیچے لٹکائے تو اس کا مطلب ہے کہ بارش ضرور ہو گی۔ یہ میرا تجربہ ہے اور کبھی بھی میرے گدھے کی یہ پیش گوئی غلط ثابت نہیں ہوئی۔
بادشاہ نے کمہار کے گدھے کو اپنا وزیر موسمیات مقرر کر دیا۔ سنا ہے کہ گدھوں کو وزیر مشیر بنانے کی ابتدا تب سے ہوئی…
