Iblis laughed when he convinced Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, but Adam and Eve, after accepting their request for forgiveness and being appointed caliphs on earth, did not laugh.
Nimrod threw Abraham into the fire and laughed. The fire became Gulzar by God’s command. Abraham got up, thanked God, and did not laugh.
Joseph was thrown into a well by his brothers, sold as a slave. They got rid of him and laughed. Later on, Joseph became the ruler of Egypt, thanked God, and did not laugh.
Pharaoh killed the boys of Bani Ya’qub, made them slaves. He laughed at the water barrier in front of the fleeing caravans. Moses descended across the river, saw Pharaoh drown, thanked God, and did not laugh.
The last prophet left Makkah with nothing but their clothes. The Mecca declared this their victory and laughed. Eight years later, the prophet entered the same city as the conqueror with his head so bowed in gratitude that it touched the camel’s hump. Everyone was waiting for punishment, but Rahmatul Ulamain granted amnesty, did not laugh.
Laughing at temporary success is the habit of Iblis, Nimrod, brothers Yusuf, Pharaoh and Abu Jahl, while Adam, Ibrahim, Yusuf, Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him) knew that the “last laugh” belongs only to God who do not fall, but glory.

ابلیس نے آدم اور حوا کو ممنوعہ پھل کھانے پر قائل کر کے جنت سے نکلوا دیا تو قہقہہ لگایا لیکن آدم اور حوا نے معافی کی درخواست قبول ہونے اور روئے زمین پر خلیفہ مقرر ہونے کے بعد شکر ادا کیا، قہقہہ نہیں لگایا۔
نمرود نے ابراہیم کو آگ میں پھینکا اور قہقہہ لگایا۔ آگ حکم خداوندی سے گلزار بن گئی۔ ابراہیم اٹھے، خدا کا شکر ادا کیا، قہقہہ نہیں لگایا۔
یوسف کو بھائیوں نے کنویں میں پھینکا، غلام کے طور پر بیچ دیا۔ اپنے تئیں ان سے جان چھڑائی اور قہقہہ لگایا۔ یوسف مصر کے حکمران بن گئے، خدا کا شکر ادا کیا، قہقہ نہیں لگایا۔
فرعون نے بنی یعقوب کے لڑکے مار دیے، انہیں غلام بنا لیا۔ فرار ہوتے قافلوں کے سامنے آبی رکاوٹ دیکھ کر قہقہہ لگایا۔ موسی دریا کے پار اترے، فرعون کو ڈوبتے دیکھا، خدا کا شکر ادا کیا، قہقہہ نہیں لگایا۔
سرکار دو عالم ﷺ مکہ سے اس حال میں نکلے کہ تن کے کپڑوں کے سوا کچھ پاس نہیں تھا۔ مکہ والوں نے اسے اپنی جیت قرار دیا اور قہقہہ لگایا۔ آٹھ برس بعد مولائے کُل ﷺ فاتح کے طور پر اسی شہر میں اس طرح داخل ہوئے کہ سر مبارک احساس شکر کے ساتھ اس قدر جھکا ہوا تھا کہ اونٹنی کے کوہان سے ٹکراتا تھا۔ سب سر کش سزا کے منتظر تھے لیکن رحمۃ للعلمین نے عام معافی دے دی، قہقہہ نہیں لگایا۔
عارضی کامیابیوں پر قہقہے لگانا ابلیس، نمرود، برادران یوسف، فرعون اور ابو جہل کا وطیرہ ہے جبکہ آدم، ابراہیم، یوسف، موسیٰ اور محمد علیھم السلام جانتے تھے کہ “آخری قہقہہ” صرف اس ذات باری کا ہوتا ہے جسے زوال نہیں، کبر جس کی ردا ہے
