ایک دفعہ مینڈکوں کا ایک گروہ کہیں جا رہا تھا کہ اچانک ان میں سے دو بے دھیانی میں ایک گڑھے میں جا گرے۔

باہر ٹھہرے مینڈکوں نے دیکھا کہ گڑھا ان دو مینڈکوں کی استطاعت سے زیادہ گہرا ہے تو انہوں نے اوپر سے کہنا شروع کر دیا۔ ھائے افسوس، تم اس سے باہر نہ نکل پاؤ گے، کوششیں کر کے ہلکان مت ہونا، ہار مان لو اور یہیں اپنی موت کا انتظار کرو۔

ایک مینڈک کا یہ سب کچھ سن کر دل ہی ڈوب گیا، اس نے ٹوٹے دل کے ساتھ چند کوششیں تو کیں مگر اس جان لیوا صدمے کا اثر برداشت نہ کر پایا اور واقعی مر گیا۔

دوسرے کی کوششوں میں شدت تھی اور وہ جگہ بدل بدل کر، جمپ لگاتے ہوئے باہر نکلنے کی کوشش کر رہا تھا۔ اوپر والے مینڈک پورے زور و شور سے سیٹیاں بجا کر، آوازیں کستے ہوئے، اسے منع کرنے میں لگے ہوئے تھے کہ مت ہلکان ہو، موت تیرا مقدر بن چکی ہے۔ لیکن مینڈک نے اور زیادہ شدت سے اپنی کوششیں جاری رکھیں اور واقعی میں باہر نکلنے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔

سارے مینڈک اس کے گرد جمع ہو گئے اور پوچھنا شروع کیا کہ وہ کیسے باہر نکلا تو سب کو یہ جان کر بہت حیرت ہوئی کہ یہ والا مینڈک تو کانوں سے محروم اور بہرا تھا۔

مینڈک سارا وقت یہی سمجھ کر باہر نکلنے کیلئے اپنا سارا زور لگاتا رہا تھا کہ باہر کھڑے ہوئے سارے مینڈک اس کے خیر خواہ اور دوست ہیں، جو اس کی ہمت بندھوا رہے ہیں اور جوش دلا رہے ہیں جبکہ حقیقت یہ تھی کہ وہ سارے اس کی ہمت توڑنے اور باہر نکلنے کے عزم کو ختم کرنے میں لگے ہوئے تھے۔

نتیجہ: کسی بھی تنقید پر بددل مت ہوں بلکہ اس تنقید کے نشتر کی سیڑھیاں بنا کر کامیابی کی منزل کی جانب بڑھتے رہیں.

Once a group of frogs was travelling somewhere when suddenly, two of them accidentally fell into a pit. The frogs standing outside saw that the pit was too deep for the two fallen frogs to escape, so they started saying from above, “Alas, you won’t be able to get out of this, don’t exhaust yourselves trying, just give up and wait for your death here.”

One of the frogs, hearing all this, lost heart. He made a few attempts with a broken spirit but couldn’t bear the devastating shock and indeed died.

The other frog, however, was making intense efforts, trying to jump out by changing positions. The frogs above were whistling loudly, jeering at him, and insisting that he shouldn’t wear himself out because death was his destiny. But the frog intensified his efforts even more and eventually succeeded in jumping out.

All the frogs gathered around him and started asking how he managed to escape. They were all very surprised to learn that this frog was deaf. The whole time, he had been trying his hardest to get out, thinking that all the frogs standing outside were his well-wishers and friends, encouraging and motivating him, whereas the reality was that they were trying to break his spirit and end his determination to escape.

Moral: Don’t be disheartened by any criticism; rather, use the barbs of criticism as steps to progress towards the path of success.
